The Yeti (David Cheng, BIPH)
In the deep lonely night
The flash of a
Neon light
Blazed to life
On the dark empty streets
The flicker of a
Tiny fire
Came in sight

You cannot recognize
What
A faint luminescence
In the pressing silence
Could ignite
And you could rewrite
What a little bit of hope
In penetrating cold
Can alight Just know
That when words are spoken
When people are hopin’
They tend to follow
What appears
To be golden
Please remember
When powers are held
When no one dares to yell
When they hide
Run Shiver
In fright and terror
The glowing ember will not burn
With a neon light
But with fire
And suppressed desire

*inspired by street music & sound of silence
